This exhibition for the Banning Museum, developed in collaboration with exhibition designers Durfee|Regn Architects, gives an overview of the development of Los Angeles’ early transportation networks, from the first stage and rail lines to the construction of an artificial deep water harbor.
The show spans the period from 1850 to 1914, when Los Angeles experienced the explosive population growth that propelled it from a quiet pueblo town to a global metropolis.
